AOF2 (0110000101101111011001102) is an album-length, chance-inpired, cut-and-paste reworking of Bach’s Art of Fugue. A MIDI score was chopped into bits, rearranged, and executed while being processed with a number of random-element incuding processes. Sounds complicated, huh? What I was really going for though was a radical reinterpretation that still sounded like Bach yet still managed to maintain the sense of ensemble.
